Give an hour, change a story
It takes one volunteer, one child and one hour a week to turn reading from a struggle into a joy.
Become a mentorThree ways to make a difference
Whether you have an hour a week or a few quid to spare, there's a way to help a child in Tower Hamlets or Hackney learn to read.
Become a reading mentor
Spend one hour a week, one-to-one with a child in one of our 18 primary schools — full training and ongoing support provided.
Fundraise for us
Run, bake, quiz or sponsor a school — every pound helps us match more children with a mentor who believes in them.
Spread the word
Tell a friend, a colleague or your local school — the more people who know, the more mentors we can recruit across East London.
We need 60 new mentors this term
Our schools have a waiting list of children who'd gain on average 2.4 years of reading age in a single year of mentoring. Could one of those hours be yours?
